California School Age Families Education

The California School Age Families Education (CalSAFE) Program, established by Chapter 1078, Statutes of 1998, became operational in July 2000. It is designed to increase the availability of support services necessary for enrolled expectant/parenting students to improve academic achievement and parenting skills and to provide a quality child care/development program for their children.

The CalSAFE program for the Whittier Union High School District is located at the Sierra Education Center and serves teen parents at all seven of our district schools. The program is voluntary. Interested students may contact their high school counselor for more information or contact the CalSAFE program director, Margie Moriarty, by phone (562) 698-8121 x1201 or by
email: Moriarty@wuhsd.org.

The enrollment process begins with the completion of the CalSAFE Enrollment Forms which can be accessed by clicking on that title in the box to the left.
